Watch this unseen match that we recorded guerilla style at The Open. Because of the rain delay on Saturday, mixed matches had to be finished on Sunday, May 1st. The team at Pickleball Channel was able to quickly prep one court in order to catch all the action between two amazing teams: Ben Johns and Simone Jardim versus Tyler Loong and Jessie Irvine.
The setting was unusual, but the crowd that quickly gathered to watch this historic match was there for it. It was great to see two new teams for this gold match and everyone enjoyed seeing Johns and Jardim take center stage together facing the the exuberant team of Loong and Irvine.
Strategy was executed for each individual point for both teams, but only one could come out on top. Watch this entire match and feel the crowd’s excitement as they witnessed something unique at the Minto US Open Pickleball Championships!
