Celebrate the ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY of PICKLEBALL CHANNEL with us today!  That’s right, one year ago on March 7, 2014 we uploaded our first video, sent out our first email and checked for comments on our website for the very first time.  It has been an amazing journey and we could not have done it without you!  In honor of our one year anniversary we visited Stan and Maureen Miller-Nielsen – the subjects of our very first I ♥ Pickleball episode in the desert region of California.  We also talked with USAPA Ambassador Chris Thomas.  They told us about the growth that has happened in their area since we last visited and you will be amazed at what has taken place!  See our one-year update now by starting the video above and then comment below the video to tell us about pickleball expansion in your own area.

And if you missed our very first episode of I ♥ Pickleball you can watch it at: https://www.pickleballchannel.com/2014/03/i-%E2%99%A5-pickleball-cathedral-city/

  1. Congrats to PickleballChannel.com and Rusty and the whole crew! Keep up the good work

  2. In September 2013 our Lake Forest, CA Home Owner’s Association agreed to a 3 month pilot program to temporarily convert one of six tennis courts into four pickleball courts. The rest is history. We now have four beautiful permanent pickleball courts where we enjoy two weekday evenings of pickleball during designated Open Play sessions. Homeowners and guests can also play pickleball anytime between 7AM to 10PM. We are forever grateful to have a Board of Directors who were happy to help us add pickleball as an amenity of our HOA.

  3. Congratulations!! A fine job done – keep up your good work!!!!

  4. Pickleball at PebbleCreek (a Robson Community in Goodyear, AZ) is going gang busters. Recently we expanded from 8 to 20 courts. We really needed them because our membership is growing rapidly. As I write this we have 950 members headed for 1,000 later this year. Super Club with Great Camaraderie!

  5. Congratulations on your one year anniversary, my wife Rita, our friends and I love the Pickleball Channel and tell as many people as we can about it. We started playing in our hometown of Ottawa Canada last year. There were not many courts, however we are amazed at the growth in such a short period of time. As kids, we would play “street hockey”, now we play “street pickleball”! When we first arrived at our Ottawa home from or Florida winter home there were not many courts or times available. Since we live on a cul du sac we decided with one other neighbour to purchase a portable net and make a court right on the street. The 4 of us began to play and curious neighbours began to ask about pickleball and started to play, we had to make an additional court and street pickleball is almost a daily event. What a great game and what a great resource PickleballChannel.com has been. Thanks for keeping me active.
    All the best,
    Fred

    • We LOVE hearing stories like this! One of our videos talks about a community that started just like yours and I’m sure your group will grow and grow! Great job expanding the sport!

  6. You should do a story about how we here at Palm Desert Greens hosted Sun City when their courts were being rebuilt. Now, Sun City is hosting Palm Desert Greens Players in informal matches. The friendships that developed and the fun that was had.

I first heard about Pickleball last year on the news. I immediately checked to see if it was played in Knoxville, TN. To my excitement it was. I played for the first time 3/25/14. Since then I have joined the Smoky Mountain Pickleball Club in Maryville, TN. There are more and more opportunities to play. At least 4 days a week and up to 3 times a day. I tell everyone I about the new love in my life. From the young people to the seasoned people.

  11. Congratulations pickleball channel for your one year anniversary! We too here in Florida or are growing, the Timber Pines Pickleball Club has added over 60 members this year, check out our web stite http://www.tppickleballclub.org
