This beautiful new facility was a featured venue for the Huntsman World Senior Games pickleball tournament. The pickleball courts at SunRiver St. George were the first ever pickleball courts built in Utah. Originally 4 asphalt courts, they were recently renovated to 14 premium courts with lots of bells and whistles. The new courts have several new features such as shade structures, comfortable benches and chairs, multiple entry points for each court, cupped sidewalks that act as drainage for rain water, electrical outlets with built-in night lights and fences tailored to catch errant balls while maintaining spectacular views. But the real hero of the pickleball courts is the SunRiver St. George Pickleball Club members! This is a dedicated and vibrant volunteer group that championed the renovation efforts and has had a large part in helping to grow the sport in the St George community and even throughout the world.
